« Mon Feb 06, 2012 8:10 am »   ah, for oe-type parts on my brothers 91 626 i always just used rockauto. they were the only place that i could find parts for a 4-door hatch at the time. other than that I dont know of any sites that still "specialize" in 626/probe stuff.

« Tue Jan 31, 2012 9:54 pm »   Have you seen the new IR 1/2" cordless impact? The W7150... it has 1100 ft/lbs torque. not in/lbs, but really ft/lbs. It can be pre-ordered for like 300 from some online dealers. I'm really considering it... thing looks pretty amazing and I dont have anything negative to say about IR products.
« Tue Jan 31, 2012 9:17 pm »   I'm ordering the big ass, bad ass lithium dewalt kit from my Mac guy here soon. 1/2" impact IIRC.

« Sun Jan 29, 2012 5:07 pm »   congrats to APR for finishing the race after the tranny, tire, accidents, and the general chaos of an endurance race in their first ever attempt. finished 31st in GT and even got back onto the track with 4 minutes to spare after a crash at the 15 minute mark

« Mon Jan 23, 2012 7:44 pm »   same goes for the amount of time to install. i will stick with the cheap easy to work on mkiv :)
« Mon Jan 23, 2012 7:44 pm »   same thing goes for a clutch. to eliminate the dual mass on the audi its about $600 for the kit. mkiv stuff is roughly half of that.
« Mon Jan 23, 2012 7:41 pm »   paul quite a bit more expensive than a golf. control arm kits are $350-$700 depending on quality. I can refresh the front end of a mkiv for less than $150 and it will take me well under 2 hours. same cannot be said for a b5
« Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:05 pm »   b6's and s4's are not old enough to end up in junk yards often yet, even mk4's are just starting to pop up all the time locally
« Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:04 pm »   my b4 front has 2 ball joints, 2 tie rods, 2 controll arms...the rear is the same as a b5 so 2 lower c/a and 2 upper c/a...so 10 total f/r
